Things To Know When Buying Insulated Pex:

Every manufacturer is going to claim their pipe is the best, but you must do your homework. We will give you some information and let you make your own educated decision on what pipe you want to buy.

  • One of the things you must check, is what class pex pipe they are using. If they are not tell you outright that they are using Class A Pex (expandable) it is a cheap class B or C Pex that will crack if frozen and deteriorate over time. We only use Rehau Pex tubing and it is MADE IN THE USA! Rehau is an industry leader in plumbing and their PEXa is BY FAR the best Pex on the USA! It is well known household name and is world renowned.
  • The second thing to check is if they have a warranty on their pipe. Some have a 5 year warranty and others claim to have a warranty, but it is no where to be found online. We offer a LIFETIME warranty against the pex splitting, or cracking if frozen ( shipping costs not included ). We will also offer you a loaner pipe to put above ground for temporary use if your line freezes during the winter as a courtesy to you as our valued customer! (shipping costs apply) Our lifetime warranty exceeds the market standard!
  • Some competitors claim their “white coated tile” tile is better, but the truth is, if a mouse ate a whole through the corrugated ridge of its outer casing, or you didn’t back fill it with sand and a rock punctured it, and it took on water, it would not insulate either. This is just a story to get you to think their pipe is better. The truth is, the only thing that puts the wrap style products out of commission is if they get wet, and the only product better than the wrapped insulated products, is the solid foam products, specifically the Rehau OWB (solid foam filled with the PEXa pex tubing.) We do use only the highest quality, heavy duty, commercial use HDPE tile that is DOT approved and meets or exceeds AASHTO requirements and it is the finest on the market. HDPE material is completely resistant to rusting, corrosion, and deterioration. Bonus, it is also MADE IN THE USA!
  • Some competitors use 4mm thick insulation and comes in a 3 and 5 wrap. So in theory, our regular wrap pipe is already beating their insulation values, but now we are doubling the layers for extreme insulating value! Our insulation is 1/4″ (6.35mm) thick! That means, that our regular wrap is 6mm thicker than their 3 wrap and our new Double Thick wrap is 6mm thicker than their 5 wrap. You do the math. Not only is our insulation thicker than some competitors, our insulation is also MADE IN THE USA! You truly can’t beat that!
  • Some competitors use a string or say you can request a electric line to be placed inside: This is a hazard and we do not recommend this. Underground direct burial electric line is made to specifically to be buried in the ground, so why run it in with water lines? Simply run your burial electric line in the same trench to the side of the tile.
