Many people have been unsuccessful at burning corn in their existing outdoor boiler.
The reason you can burn corn in our Nature’s Comfort outdoor coal boilers is due to the shaker grate system and having the blower in the back. Air is blown in under the corn giving it a complete burn from front to back and bottom to top.
On a side note, you can burn wood in a Nature’s Comfort outdoor coal boiler as well until the end of 2015, when EPA regulations kick in and at that point you would only be allowed to burn coal.
The best way to start a corn fire in the Nature’s Comfort furnace is to light your wood or coal first, then add the corn when the wood or coal is completely caught. It will take some time until you are familiar and comfortable with how to get your corn fire to start the fastest in your outdoor furnace.
